About the Role Reporting to the Financial Accountant – Revenue this is a hands-on and analytical accounting role supporting Alwyndor’s Community and Residential revenue cycles. You will work across claims, billing, receipting, client funding records, reconciliations, revenue journals and financial analysis. You will also partner with operational teams to identify issues, improve processes and strengthen revenue assurance. This is an excellent opportunity for an accountant who enjoys combining technical accounting, analysis, systems and stakeholder engagement and wants to see the direct impact of their work within a purpose-driven organisation Responsibilities include but are not limited to: - Support end-to-end revenue-cycle activities across CHSP, Support at Home, residential aged care and other funding streams.
- Prepare, submit and reconcile revenue claims and billing, resolving rejections, variances and outstanding items.
- Process and reconcile Community and Residential cash receipts through AlayaCare and Care Systems.
- Prepare and post accurate revenue journals with appropriate supporting documentation and audit trails.
- Maintain accurate client and funding records and investigate data exceptions.
Perform reconciliations between source systems, remittances and the general ledger. - Develop client-level analysis to identify revenue-assurance opportunities and provide meaningful operational insights.
- Support reporting on demand, service utilisation and employee productivity.
Contribute to system changes, user acceptance testing, process documentation and implementation activities. - Maintain current knowledge of relevant aged care funding, claiming and reporting requirements.
About you You are a qualified accountant with strong attention to detail, excellent analytical skills and a genuine interest in understanding how revenue processes work from end to end. Essential Requirements: - Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
Strong financial analysis and reconciliation skills, with a high level of attention to detail. - Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial systems.
Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across teams. - Demonstrated ability to investigate issues, identify root causes and implement practical solutions.
- Ability to analyse financial information and provide clear, practical insights to support operational decision-making
Desirable - Experience in aged care or health services revenue-cycle management, including claims, billing, receipting or reconciliations.
- Experience using AlayaCare, Care Systems or comparable aged care client-management and billing systems.
- CPA or CA qualification, or progress towards completion.
- Knowledge of Australian aged care funding, claiming and reporting requirements.
- Experience supporting system implementations, upgrades or user acceptance testing
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
