Support Workers - Support at Home

  • Casual shifts available Monday to Friday, 8:00am–4:00pm
  • $45.77 per hour + paid travel time

About the Role


We are seeking experienced and compassionate Support Workers to join our Support at Home team. You will provide personalised support to clients in their own homes across Adelaide’s southern suburbs.

 

To be successful, you will:

  • Be available to work Monday to Friday between 8:00am and 4:00pm
  • Be willing to travel between clients across Adelaide’s southern metropolitan area
  • Have a positive, caring and nurturing approach
  • Be confident working independently in clients’ homes
  • Have strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene

Duties Include:

  • Personal care, including showering, toileting and general hygiene
  • Medication prompting and administration, as required
  • Transport to appointments and community activities
  • Shopping and social support
  • Domestic assistance, including cleaning, meal preparation and laundry
  • Monitoring and communicating clients’ health, wellbeing and progress to the Support Coordinator
     

To be considered for this role you will have...

  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Disability), Aged Care or equivalent
  • A current Driver's Licence 
  • Reliable vehicle that can pass a Vehicle Safety Checklist
  • Current First Aid certificate, or willingness to obtain one
  • Previous experience providing care and support in clients’ homes is preferred but not essential

You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
