About the Role: Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Accountant plays a key role in delivering high-quality financial reporting and accounting services across the organisation. You will ensure compliance with statutory obligations, contribute to effective financial management, and provide accurate and timely financial information to support informed decision-making. Responsibilities include: - Prepare and support monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting
- Perform general ledger management, reconciliations, accruals, and journal entries
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and statutory obligations
- Assist with internal and external audits
- Support cash flow management and forecasting
- Monitor financial performance and identify opportunities to optimise working capital
- Contribute to investment monitoring and financial risk management
- Support the development and improvement of financial systems and processes
- Identify opportunities for automation and increased efficiency
- Provide support on financial systems and ensure alignment with policies and best practice
Skills and Experience: - Degree qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
- CA/CPA qualification (or working towards)
- Minimum 2 years’ experience in an accounting role, with exposure to statutory reporting and compliance
- Demonstrated experience in financial reporting, reconciliations, and general ledger management
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards and regulatory requirements
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and ability to manage large data sets
- Strong attention to detail, analytical capability, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work collaboratively and contribute to continuous improvement
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
