Alwyndor’s welcoming, high quality facilities include 144 residential, dementia, respite care beds, transitional and care awaiting placement beds, together with allied health, therapy and wellness programs and home support packages that support people in Adelaide’s southern metro communities. About the Opportunity As a part of our amazing Allied Health team, you will be exercising significant clinical judgement whilst providing superior service to our clients. You will assist older people to maximise their independence and quality of life through the delivery of high-quality occupational therapy services, which are aligned with the philosophy and values of Alwyndor Aged Care, government guidelines, and professional standards and ethics. Key responsibilities include: - Providing occupational therapy services to clients in the community
- Delivering high-quality assessments and ongoing therapy services
- Use of customised Alwyndor vehicle with all equipment and tools, required to deliver in home therapy services
- Full day of driving, visiting clients in home around south metropolitan region
- Maintain client documentation, adhering to clinic and regulatory standards
- Working from our on-site community clinic as required
- Supporting our mobile allied health program
About You We are inviting applications from individuals with appropriate qualifications, you must have a current AHPRA registration and have a passion for working with older people. Prior experience working in an aged care setting, and an understanding of ACFI, whilst not required, will be highly regarded. - A recognised degree (or equivalent) in occupational therapy
- Current AHPRA registration
- Current Driver's Licence
- Strong commitment to delivering high-quality care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate and undergo a functional assessment before commencing employment.
