About the Opportunity The Team Leader Physiotherapist provides professional and clinical leadership across Alwyndor’s Physiotherapy services. This role supports both experienced and new graduate physiotherapists, ensuring clinical safety, quality improvement, and the delivery of evidence-based, high-quality physiotherapy services to our ageing community. As a community-based service, this role will involve both community-based and on-site services, including visiting clients in their homes across Adelaide’s southern metropolitan region as well as delivering care at our Hove-based Alwyndor facility. You’ll be supported with access to Alwyndor fleet vehicles and all required equipment. You will play a key role in service development, business process improvement, and fostering a collaborative Allied Health culture. As a leader in your field, you will model customer-centred, best-practice care aligned with Alwyndor’s values. This role also includes a reduced clinical caseload, supporting clients to improve mobility, manage pain, reduce falls risk, and achieve rehabilitation and reablement goals. A strong understanding and application of the Wellness and Reablement Approach is essential. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Provide clinical and professional leadership to a team of Physiotherapists
- Assess and treat clients referred for physiotherapy services
- Select and apply physiotherapy interventions aligned with current best practice
- Collaborate with other Allied Health and other Nursing professionals and relevant stakeholders
- Maintain compliant written and electronic clinical documentation
- Support knowledge building for therapy assistants and ensure safe and effective delivery of physio led group classes
- Participate in continuous improvement and service development initiatives
About You You are a motivated and compassionate physiotherapist with: - Current AHPRA registration
- A passion for working with older people and enhancing their quality of life
- Strong clinical skills in physiotherapy assessments and interventions
- Ability to apply best-practice approaches in aged care
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- A commitment to person-centred, culturally safe care
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
