Set within beautiful grounds in the seaside suburb of Hove, Alwyndor delivers on-site residential living and support at home services, along with therapy and wellbeing services that empower the people in our communities to live healthy, engaged and fulfilled lives.

 

Alwyndor’s welcoming, high-quality facilities include 144 residential, dementia, respite care beds, transitional and care awaiting placement beds, together with allied health, therapy and wellness programs, and home support packages that support people in Adelaide’s southern metro communities.

 

About the Opportunity 

 

As part of a well-established and energetic team, you will strive to foster programs that are interactive, imaginative, stimulating and promote success for each resident’s abilities and interests. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Develop lifestyle programs based on individual needs, preferences and goals with the aim to enhance Physical, Intellectual, Emotional, Cultural, and social well being
  • Active participation in the delivery of activities
  • Prepare comprehensive and accurate Lifestyle Assessments of residents
  • Ensure complete and timely documentation of resident participation and engagement
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with residents, families and volunteers
  • Facilitate community engagement opportunities

 

About You

 

You will have a passion to positively impact the lives of others, and a desire to support older people to live meaningful and engaged lives. You will be person-centred in your approach and have:

  • A relevant Certificate/Diploma - Certificate III in Leisure and Health or Certificate IV in Aged Care
  • Demonstrated understanding of Leisure and Lifestyle programming and Aged Care Quality Standards
  • Previous experience working with older people, with an understanding of cognitive decline and physical disabilities 
  • Previous experience in a Lifestyle Assistant position (desirable)
  • Experience using a computerised Care Management System (desirable)
  • Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills

 

You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
