About the Opportunity The food services assistant works to the highest quality standards, ensuring all foods are handled and prepared according to the Food Safety Program. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: - Handling, sorting and distributing food items
- Maintain a high standard of hygiene in the main kitchen and serveries
- Have a clear understanding of the dietary needs of residents
- Understand the different textures and plating methods for textured modified foods
- Assist residents with their requests
- Enhancing the dining experience in our dining rooms
About You To be successful, you will have: - A Food Handling Qualification (desired, but not essential)
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- A respectful and friendly approach to residents and colleagues
- Commitment to maintaining high-quality service and standards
Availability: - Flexibility to work across a 7-day roster
- Shifts:
- 6:45am – 2:45pm
- 3:00pm – 8:00pm
- Part-time roster example:
- Week 1: Tuesday, Thursday, Friday
- Week 2: Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, Sunday
You must also be willing to obtain a National Police Certificate before commencing employment as well as a functional assessment.
